Community Healing

Community Healing is about Black people’s shared responsibility for confronting and working to overcome the centuries-old lie of Black inferiority.

Emotional Emancipation is about “psychological freedom, a firm sense of self-esteem,” as Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. described it. It is complete freedom--freedom not only in body, but also in mind and in spirit.

Community Healing Network, Inc. (CHN), is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization focused on building a grassroots movement for the emotional emancipation of Black people everywhere.

What We Do

Community Healing Network, Inc. (CHN), is working to spark the creation of a national and international grassroots network of self-help groups focused on emotional emancipation, healing, and wellness for Black people.

Why

To be at our best as a people, we must engage in the long-delayed struggle for what Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. called “psychological freedom.”
